The sixth Blanc des Millénaires

It is only the sixth vintage, but Blanc des Millénaires is already one of the great Blanc de Blancs among the prestige cuvées of Champagne, virtually on a par with Comtes de Champagne, Dom Ruinart or Salon.

Of these four, Blanc des Millénaires matures the longest on the lees, which is also reflected in its style. A champagne that combines the time factor with the typical toasty-reductive Charles Heidsieck style and the salty-mineral character of the Chardonnays from the top crus of the Côte des Blancs. In this case, complemented by the character of the warm 2006 vintage, which is counted among the very good vintages only for Blancs de Blancs, while the blue grapes experienced rot problems due to the rainy autumn.
