Champagne Bruno Paillard

Family-run and independent house

Champagne Bruno Paillard was born out of its founder’s desire to create a very pure champagne that would stand out from the rest.

Today, Maison BP owns 25 ha of PDB3-certified vineyards, which cover 70% of its needs. More than half of our plots are Premier or Grand Cru, on calcareous soils: Oger, Le Mesnil sur Oger, Vertus, Verzenay, Verzy, Mailly… Respect for the soil and emphasis on the typical chalky soils of Champagne are the guidelines of our cultivation, which also aims to promote biodiversity and life in the soil (with organic compost and no use of pesticides or herbicides).

All our champagnes are made exclusively from the first pressing, the purest. Our cuvées from several vintages contain an important part of our “eternal reserve”, which dates back to 1985. Their assemblage consists of a range of up to 30 of the most interesting crus of Champagne, vinified separately, some in old barrels.

Our champagnes benefit from a particularly long ageing period (between 3 and 11 years) and an additional resting period after disgorgement (between 6 and 18 months). The dosage is always extra-brutal (less than 6 g/l) to express the purity of the wines and their origin.

Our reserve wines have been kept in perpetual reserve since 1985: the older wines are used to age the younger ones to give them more complexity.
