Founded at the beginning of the 20th century, by 3 associates, Champagne Juillet-Lallement has been able to enrich itself with the experience gained over 3 generations. Over the years, the champagne house grew up to produce the best of Champagne wines. The domain is located in the heart of “La Montagne de Reims”, (in Verzy 18 kms from Reims), a very nice village typical of Champagne, well known for its exceptional forest and its tortuous beeches. Now, Jean Lallement and his wife, Virginie, strives to perpetuate the family and Champagne tradition by highlighting the best of their terroirs, their work and their grape varieties through their cuvees.
Following the 2004 harvest, a major refreshing process was launched within the wine cellar, which has been modernized with a last generation press allowing the grapes to be delicately pressed. Jean Lallement himself blends his different cuvees. The vinification is now carried out in thermo-regulated stainless-steel vats, which allows to preserve the freshness on his reserve wines and brings exceptional quality to his Champagne wines. Some vintages are also aged in 300 litres oak barrels, made with local wood from the Verzy forest. Champagnes Juillet-Lallement are precise wines, showing elegance, minerality and above all a true personality. They reflect the terroir of “La Montagne de Reims” which has a northern exposure, with a lot of cold wind ensuring a natural air conditioning. Their philosophies will the respect of the nature cycles through a sustainable viticulture that respects the environment and human.
