Champagne Secondé-Simon
Nestled at the foot of the mountain of Reims, in the village of Ambonnay classified Grand Cru, Champagne Secondé-Simon produces champagnes with strong identities which reflect our terroir and ours plots. Today this family estate is still run by the Secondé family with Nicolas Secondé our oenologist and Jérôme Bôle, his brother-in-law, the cellar master. Our estate covers 6 ha, we produce around 21,000 bottles spread over 6 cuvées. We export 70% of our production mainly to Italy and Japan. Secondé-Simon champagne only produces Grands Crus champagnes made from our Ambonnay grapes. Our different vintages highlight the Chardonnays and Pinots Noirs from the mountain of Reims. In order to extract the best from our grapes, we have chosen a precision pressing. During the pressing process, by separating the different presses, we obtain wines of rare elegances that have made our house famous. Our strategy in the management of our vineyard is turned towards the future. Since 2018 no chemical weedkillers have been used on the estate, they have been replaced by mechanical weeding. This commitment to the environment was also rewarded by obtaining HEV certifications in 2018 and VDC and 2019. What has always guided us is passion. The passion for our profession, our vines, but also the passion of the people. We are fortunate to have a multifaceted profession from growing vines to selling our bottles. Champagne has always been a festive and sharing wine. It allows great encounters around the world.
